Our 130 acres of Chardonnay are clones #17 and #26, developed by Robert Young and UC Davis with cuttings from Burgundy. The vines have adapted to this soil and climate, and the fruit from Robert Young clone #17 is regarded by many to be the very best domestic Chardonnay.

2007 BARREL SELECT CHARDONNAY

This is a BIG Chardonnay, not for the faint of heart. The wine is roasty, toasty due to the influence of 100% new Seguin Moreau French oak barrels chosen specifically for the wine. Only two barrels (48 cases) were made. The Barrel Select Chardonnay is a creamy, caramel and honey laden mouthful of tropical fruit with a very long finish.  48 cases produced.
